Gerlitzen - sunniest ski resort in Austria
The Gerlitzen ski area has numerous pistes of all levels of difficulty and offers both the experienced winter sportsman and the beginner varied runs. The Gerlitzen is a mountain north of the town Annenheim in Carinthia, Austria, whose mountain peak is 1909 meters high. The Gerlitzen is one of the most southerly Nockberge and an excellent lookout mountain and sun plateau. Carinthia's oldest mountain railway, the Kanzelbahn cable car built by Adolf Bleichert & Co. in the Gerlitzen ski area, leads from Annenheim to the Kanzelhöhe, a pre-summit. The panoramic Kanzelbahn cable car takes guests to the middle station and then with a chair lift to the highest part (about 1900 m).
